Fresh Nigerian Graduate Lost life at Jubilation

Tragedy struck yesterday as a fresh graduate of the Imo State University took his last breath as students poured him water in jubilation of final year completion.

What seem to be jubilation turned into a gathering of sorrow when the victim was running away from a number of students who pursued after him to pour dirty water on him. In that quest to dodge the water being poured on him, he fell into a soak-away pit and got drowned.
The dirty water from the pit however is partially passing a light current as the pit is dug beside their transformer where earth-wire is buried.

Pouring of water has been banned in schools but some students would not obey this.

Many students in this light unaccepted celebration of final papers have been injured, poured acid and some other dangerous liquids while some other persons have gone to the great beyond via this.
I think every final year student should learn from this as well as those who dedicate them to pouring water on university finalists.

Nigerian Naira is Devalued,Now Officially N168 to $1-The CBN announced

The Nigerian Apex Bank on Tuesday in Abuja announced its decisions

on devaluation of the Nigerian Naira by N13.

According to the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin

Emefiele when disclosing its decisions after a meeting of the

Monetary Policy Committee at Abuja said " the move is part of the

efforts to strengthen the nations economy.

In a report by the punch online papers, Mr. Emefiele made it clear

that the Nigerian Naira would now exchange for N168 to $1 instead of

the old official rate of N155 thereby increasing the Monetary Policy

Rate by 100 points from 12% to 13%.

Nonetheless, the CBNs action had since then been felt in the country

as the citizens now witness scarcity of the Dollar even at the Black

Markets as it now sales for about N173 to N175 to $1 giving room for

sharp practices.

Increase in the Monetary Policy rate which is the rate at which the

CBN lends to Commercial banks had on its part increased the lending

rate at which the money deposit banks lend to their customers as

accordong to them " they are in bussiness for profit"

According to the CBN, the decision to devalue the Nigerian Naira

against the Dollar ( $ ) was to strengthen the Naira.

The decisions made at the last Monetary Policy Committee meeting

did not elude the Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR ) which was increased from

15% to 20%. The CRR which is another monetary policy instrument

used to either mop up excess liquidity ( cash ), in circulation and verse

versa

We scaled the Assembly Gates to Save Nigerias Democracy- Hon. Gbajabiamila

Just yesterday, the Nigerian House of Representatives

member displayed a scene which will forever remain

in the hearts of Nigerians. Such a laughable and

unprofessional act, the house members were caught

on camera scaling the National Assembly Complex

gate according to them was  in a bid to stop the

president from actualising his so called evil

machination.

On questioning about the unprofessional event, the

House of Representative Minority Leader, Hon.

Gbajabiamila said " I never thought a day will ever

come when I will be forced to scale the gates of the

Assembly complex"

" what happened in the National Assembly yesterday

will forever live in infamy, I never thought I would see

the day when I would be forced to go over the

Assembly gates where I work to gain access into the

chambers. But then our Democracy has to be saved.

Nonetheless, the gate scaling according to the  house

members was worth it as the presidents request on

extention of State of Emergency to the Northeast

Boko Haram affected states must fail.

Hon.Gbajabiamila went on to say that " it was pretty

clear the Presidency in spite of a court injunction

wanted to dp something Sinister and illegal and we

thank God we failed their evil machinations. We will

continue to be vigilant.

In a new development, it has been made known that

some of the house members are building up plans to

impeach the incumbent Nigerian President Goodluck

Ebere Jonathan
