Davidos "Aye" has Won the Youtube 2014 Most Watch Video Award With over 10 Million Views

As its tradition is, Youtube has finally released its 2014 Most Watch Video of the year with Davidos "Aye" Topping the list amongst its equalls. The Nigerian Music and entertainment industry had for the past years witness a great turn around with each year producing a new artist with year 2014 appearing as a year of revolution when almost 95 percent of Nigerians lost its quest and taste for foreign music. The 22 years old Musician and undergraduate released this hit track February 2014 and which had since witnessed about 10 Million views based on the parameters for granting the award. Nigerian Government Finally Releases Impounded Russian Plane

 

 

The Federal Government has finally released the impounded Russian Cargo Plane after proper checks and clarifications that the intercepted plane and its contents belongs to the French Military. This was made known in a press briefing by The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Adeola Amosu on Monday.

 

 

The release was according to the Chief of Army staff to allow for the continuation of the existing cordial relationship between the Giant of Africa and the French Government as the French has been so cooperative with Nigeria .

 

 

Nonetheless, Proper checks and clarifications  were observed between the 3 governments involved (i.e. Nigeria, France and Russia) by Nigeria before the release decision.

 

In his words "However, we just got clarification from the French that the items on board belongs to the French Military. We respect that we have a good relationship with the French Government and we respect that. .. Russian Plane Impounded in Nigeria must be Investigated - PR Nigeria

Following up on the emergency landing of a Russian Cargo plane that was loaded with military weapons, 2 French Army Helicopters and 5 French crew members which was impounded by the Nigerian security Officers on Saturday, the french government as at today admitted that it owns the military hardware aboard the plane. Nigerians had sunce Saturday been kept in the dark as series of questionings routed to the appropriate quarters via the Russian Embassey in Abuja Nigeria yields no result nor comments. Based on a press statement by the PR Nigeria, an agency that circulates information for Nigeria security agencies on behalf of an anonymous official stating that " Nigeria has no reason to release the Aircraft and its cargo until necessary investigations were conducted and concluded". On its part, the French Government had countered the report that the sized plane was loaded with Military weapons. Speaking by one of its Officials, Jacques Champagne de Labriolle, "there was absolutely no weapon, and no amonition on board the aircraft" he said. But this was contrary to the anonymous report as spotted by the Nigerian Security official as at when the plane was intercepted. Nonetheless, Nigerian Government have agreed to release the french crew members that accompanied the plane but subjecting the plane to further investigations as explainations given by the French Government that the plane was conveying equipment for peace keeeping from Banqui (Central African Republic) to Ndjamena (Chad) and had diplomatic cover to make a stop over in Nigeria. Also, it was clear that the Nigerian Government was yet to decide the fate of the plane as opposed to the claims and impressions created by the French Government in its statements that " Official information has been supplied by the French Embassey in Nigeria. The Nigerian Federal and airport authorities having satisfied with the documents and the genuine character of the flight have announced that the plane will be authorised to pursue its flight to Chad" Further questionings on why a Russian Plane carrying equipments belonging to France revealed on Sunday by the Russian embassey in Nigeria that the plane was indeed a Russian plane but hired by the French government to Military hardware for its peacekeeping force in the Central African Republic. BREAKING NEWS : RUSSIAN PLANE CARRYING MILITARY WEAPONS INTERCEPTED IN KANO

A Russian cargo plane made emergency landing today at the Mallam Aminu International Airport in Kano few hours ago with military hardware but had since been detained by the Nigerian security operatives with its French speaking crew members. A security operative annonymously said the weapons in the plane were supposedly mearnt for neighbouring country CHAD. The plane had journeyed from the Central Africam Republic to N'Djamena, the Chadian Capital. The plane made an emergency landing in Kano with reasoms that the Chadian Airport was Shut doen and was carrying on board a bullet proof Jeep, Military hardware including two Helicopters alongside its 5 crew members. Nonetheless, the real reason behind the landing of the plane in Kano is yet to be known as the Nigerian Russian embassey in Abuja is yet to make its comments as fears are that the weapons were mearnt for Nigeria. In light of the recent power tuzzle in the Nigeria coupled with the heat posed by the upcoming 2015 general elections and the civil unrest due to the bombings by the Boko Haram terror group,conclusions are that the planes real destination is Nigeria but pending confirmation by the Nigerian Russian embassey in Abuja

Forbe Africa has finally released its nominee for the 2014 Africas person of the year with Nigerias bussiness mogul and enterpreneur "Aliko Dangote" being the winner. According to Aliko Dangote on accepting the award said on his tweeter page " Iam humbled by honour and dedicate this award to Nigeria, and iam proud to be an African" The Forbe person of the year award has mostly been won by Nigerians with the former CBN governor "Sanusi Lamido Sanusi" wining it in 2011 and Akinwunmi Adesina, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development wining it in 2013 to lose count. Aliko Dangote was this year nominated alongside other renowned Nigerians / Africans who at one point or the other proofed they are worth it, other nominees include Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, a well renowned author who is also on the Hollywood list of actors.
